Our Bereavement Services
All of our bereavement services are offered by credentialed professionals.
Our Coping Counselors offer three modalities of bereavement services:
- Individual counseling
- Bereavement group counseling
- Monthly bereavement support groups
Individual counseling
- Learn suitable and appropriate coping skills for dealing with the loss of a loved one.
- Identify, explore, and discuss your personal grief reactions.
- Move toward the gradual decrease of the intensity of your grief emotions and thoughts, and the increase of your ability to return to a more desired level of functioning.
- Individual counseling is suitable for individuals ages 3 and older. (Please note: for many young children, it can be very important for a family member to participate in some grief education to help the process.)
- Affordable fees for individual counseling
Bereavement Group Counseling (Eight-week, structured, size-limited groups)
- Share and bond with others who are experiencing similar losses.
- Learn about common grief reactions.
- Learn suitable and appropriate coping skills for dealing with the loss of a loved one.
- Work in a group format to gradually decrease the intensity of your grief emotions and thoughts, and increase your ability to return to a more desired functioning.
- Members are grouped by loss (loss of spouse/partner, loss of family member ex: parent, sibling, etc.).
- Affordable fees for group counseling
Monthly Support Group (Ongoing)
- The goal of our monthly bereavement support group is to give you the opportunity to meet others in similar situations, to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, or knowledge in order to facilitate progress through the bereavement experience.
- Groups may include seasonal or topical subjects that will facilitate the gradual decrease of the intensity of your grief emotions and thoughts, and the increase of your ability to return to a more desired functioning.
- Groups are open to all people who are experiencing grief (following a free, no-obligation consultation).
- No cost
